Mentor North enrolls youth ages 7-14 living in Duluth and Superior. Once enrolled, youth can remain in our programs until their high school graduation or 18th birthday. Please review the information below to enroll a youth.
During the program, you will develop a positive, caring relationship with an adult who listens to you, respects you, and is there to support you. You will have the opportunity to try new activities while also sharing your favorite hobbies and interests with your mentor.
Additionally, you will learn more about yourself!
To build a strong connection with your mentor, spend at least 4 hours together every month for a year. Be curious and open to learning during the mentoring sessions. Share your day-to-day experiences, passions, and ambitions with your mentor. Keep your parent, guardian, and Program Advocate in the loop about how your mentoring is going. This journey is all about personal growth and forming meaningful relationships!
It's important to stay connected with the mentor to chat about how your youth is doing and keep the communication flowing. Also, keep your youth informed and engaged in the mentorship process. Keep in touch with Program Advocates and update contact details. Plan for yearly meetings with Program Advocates to update information. Lastly, keep an eye out for potential mentors in your youth's life. Let's work together to make a positive impact!
